Hey Jakob, how you getting on ? Hope you enjoy some shiny weather in Germany, here where I am right now it's kinda crap !
We're glad to hear from you anyway, Julien Jay (creator of Jeunes-Ailes) told us a while ago about the German Young Aviators.
I ain't sure but doesn't seem like there's anything of this kind here in the United Kingdom, though the Air Cadets (12-19 year old guys flying under a military wing, both gliders and powered aircraft) have their own assotiation (called ATC and CCF (Raf) ).
They don't quite share the same interest, in the first place they join the Army to be part of it and not really to fly an aircraft.
However, I reckon we, Jeunes-Ailes and the Young Aviators Germany, are the same kind of association.
To be honest, I took part in only two events, last year, but it really caught my fancy !
As Julien (hope you don't get confused as there are at least 3 Julien amongst Jeunes-Ailes members) may have told you, each year we hold something like 3 or 4 main events, and 3 or 4 somewhat smaller aiming at gathering people from one part of the country only. But no matter what they are, anyone's welcome.
I believe you'll have to discuss that with Julien but I'm sure we all'd be delighted to have you guys coming to our events !
Obviously, some of them will be pretty far but we organise events almost anywhere in France including the North-East which isn't that far from you.
On the other way around, that'd be great to be part of yours.
The easiest would certainly be to open a thread on your forum (I suppose you got one?) in english. I mean, that's entirely up to you but we did the same here (it's simply named "In English") and that's the place to go to talk with people outside France.
In utter paradise, we can look for someday a European-sized event with young aviators from all over Europe .. who knows what the futur holds?
PS : I'm adding you on Skype
Marc
